About Casteldelci

Casteldelci (Romagnol: Castèl) is a municipality in the province of Rimini in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, located approximately 140 kilometers (87 miles) south-east of Bologna and approximately 55 kilometers (34 miles) south of Rimini.

History

After the referendum of 17 and 18 December 2006, Casteldelci was detached from the Province of Pesaro and Urbino (Marche) to join Emilia-Romagna and the Province of Rimini on 15 August 2009.

personality

It is the birthplace of the leader Uguccione della Faggiola, a member of the family who ruled here in the Middle Ages. Subsequently Casteldelci was a possession of the Casa del Montefeltro and the Medici.
