Orani (Sardinian: Orane) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Nuoro in the Italian region of Sardinia, located about 110 kilometers (68 miles) north of Cagliari and about 15 kilometers (9 miles) south-west of Nuoro. As of December 31, 2004, Orani had a population of 3,113 and an area of 130.8 square kilometers (50.5 square miles).

Orani borders the following municipalities: Benetutti, Bolotana, Illorai, Mamoiada, Nuoro, Oniferi, Orotelli, Ottana, Sarule.
